So Special Collection - Tilda With Small Gift

Our challenge at Make It Colourful this week is to color our image with the light source coming from the top left.  I combined this challenge with today's C4C challenge which is to use flowers on our card.

I love this adorable image, she is so cute! I cut out Tilda and popped her up with pop dots to give the card a bit of dimension. I added some die cut clouds that I added some sparkly diamond stickles to.  This daffodil dell image is from MIC and works perfectly for creating a sweet spring scene. I can't wait for spring!

Magnolia Baby Favors

It's time for another inspiration challenge over at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog. Here is our photo inspiration:

Isn't that just the sweetest nursery? So I was inspired by this photo to create some baby favors.

I made the baby rattle favor by using my spellbinder circle dies and attached the circles to a rectangular strip of paper.  I used Tim Holtz papers and embellished with Wild Orchid flowers. This adorable Magnolia image is called Sleeping Baby Tingla and you can find her at Magnolia.

I colored this image with the following copic colors: R85, R83, R81, RV11, RV10, E0000, E000, E00. I used some Diamond Stickles on the wings and added some flat back pearls, ribbon, and button from my stash.

I saw these sweet baby shoes favor in my recent issue of Paper Creations Magazine and thought they would be perfect for this challenge. They were easy to make and so fun! Aren't they cute!?

Well that's it for today, thanks for visiting me! Have a great week!

Longing Tilda

Good morning! Today is Saturday and that means it's time for another challenge at Crazy for Challenges and Make It Colourful.  I combined these two challenges for my card today.  At C4C our challenge is to use dies on our card. And at Make It Colourful, we are to colour our image with smooth gradients. The idea for the smooth gradient is to have a transition in the different shades of colour really smoothly from dark to light with no lines showing. Hope that make sense?

I used this technique mainly on the window going from dark brown to light brown as smoothly as I could blending out the lines. Hopefully you can see that ok. Also, the dies I used on my card are the Magnolia doohickey swirls die which act as my flower vines around the window and I also used a spellbinder die behind the window image.

Here are the details:

Ink: memento ink and copics (E59, E57, E55, E53, E51, E11, E00, E000, R85, R83, R81, RV11, RV10, R20, R24, R22, YR23, Y000, YG67, YG63, G21, G20)
Images: Make It Crafty window and Magnolia - Tilda
Papers: Bazzil CS and Magnolia DP
Dies: spellbinder, Magnolia doohickey swirl die, MS butterfly punch, MIC chipboard corners, pearls, WOC flowers

Valentine Baskets

It's the weekend! Yay! Today at Crazy 4 Challenges, our challenge is to use Hearts on our card/project.  Here is what I made for today:

I made these cute little heart baskets to hang on my daughters' bedroom doorknobs for Valentine's Day.  Do you think they'll like them?  I filled them with some Hershey's chocolate hearts.. yum!  I first got this idea from my friend Crystal's blog, mine isn't nearly as pretty as hers is though.

The image I used today is Tilda with Hanging Heart from Magnolia and I colored her with copics.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Thanks in advance for any comment you may leave. I love to read them!  If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project, and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C74.  Have a great weekend!

Will You Be My Valentine - So Special Collection

Good morning friends! Thanks for visiting me today. Whew! What a week I had. I didn't think I would get this post done in time. I have 2 kids home with me sick for the past couple days. My youngest fainted in the shower - nothing scarier than that! And now my oldest has a fever. Poor things are just miserable. :(  Hopefully, they will be back to normal soon. They have missed so much school already.

Anyways, thanks for letting me vent a bit. In between calls of "mom can you....", I managed to put this card together and little gift box. So this week at Crazy 4 Challenges, our challenge is to make a Valentine card!  Here's what I came up with:

The images I used today are "Will You Be My Valentine" and mini "Tilda With Many Hearts" all available at Magnolia Sweden. My sentiment can also be found at Magnolia.

Here are the details:

Stamps - Magnolia
Ink - Memento ink and copics (E00, E000, R20, E25, E29, E31, Y000, R85, R83, R81, RV10, E35, E33, YR23, Y23, Y21, C1, C00, R27, R24, R22)
Paper - CS - Papertrey Ink, DP - Magnolia
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Miscellaneous - beads, pearls, ribbon,
Supplies - Bozzcut die, spellbinder die, Martha Stewart punches, and Magnolia Doohickey die - Old Swedish Lace

Whimsy's Circle of Friends - Card for Annika

Whimsy is hosting a blog hop for one of their teammies (Annika) who recently lost her mother.  I wanted to join in to help support my friend and fellow Make It Colourful DT sister and make a card to link to the Whimsy blog also.  So I made this card:

This is Tilda with Hanging Heart from Magnolia and her "gown" is made with my Spellbinder scalloped heart die - I cut out several hearts for her petticoat. I tried to give Tilda's gown a little dimension by raising the middle of the gown with pop dots.  I also used my angel wing doohickey die from Magnolia and gave Tilda larger wings. My sentiment is computer generated and cut out with another Spellbinder die.  Do you like the heart chipboard embellishment that I added to my card? I got it from Zoe at Make It Crafty - really love using these chipboard pieces and she has created so many other new chipboard designs. You have to check them out!

Here is a closeup of my sweet angel:

Well, that's it for today. I'm off to shovel some more snow.. boo!
