TOMIC #52 - Summer Holiday challenge + Sketch

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing well today?  It's time for another TOMIC Challenge and this week our challenge is to make a summer holiday card and also follow this sketch:

Here is the card I made for the 4rth of July:

I've used a combination of papers by Bo Bunny and Websters Pages.  The images I used are: Tilda Off Shore, Memory Shells, and the Ocean Background is from the Lazy Summer Days collection but could not find a link to it.   I've used some shells for embellishing and all my images were colored with copics: E11, E02, E01, E00, E000, R20, R22, R24, R27, E55, E53, E51, E50, YR00, YR000, B97, B95, B91, B000, B0000, C7, C5, C3, C1, C00, E35, E33, E31, E30, Y15, Y000.

Well, this will be my last post for TOMIC for awhile. It's been a pleasure working with these awesome designers on the challenge blog.  I have decided to step down for a bit to get some things under control here before summer. I hope to rejoin in the future. Thanks for visiting everyone! Have a great day!

Magnolia Ink Wedding Cake

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! We had a nice 3-day weekend and it was so hard to get up at 5:15 this morning. My kids were very grumbly lol!

Well it's another quick post from me today.  Have you seen the Wedding issue of Magnolia Ink Magazine a couple issues ago?  Well, I wanted to share the wedding cake I made for that one. I don't think I've posted it yet....

I've colored this wedding image twice and decorated all the sides around this cake. I really loved this project! This was right after Christmas so I was still in the "gold mood." Both this wedding couple and swirl doohickey die were picked up from Magnolia-licious.

Ok, well have a great day and be back soon! :)

Tilda Reaching for the Stars

Good morning everyone!  I wanted to write a quick post today before running outside and working on the yard with hubby. Whew it is humid today (I hate humid)!

Anyways, I wanted to share a card I had made for the current issue of Through The Craftroom Door.  This beautiful princess is Tilda Reaching for the Stars  (I've linked to the mini image at Magnolia-licious).

I've used So Wrapped Starlight Doohickey die by Magnolia and my papers also by Magnolia are the Fairytale paper pack and both can be found at Magnolia-licious . I love the bright jewel colors of this card today.

Well that's it for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend everyone!  It's Memorial Day weekend for us here in the USA and I am looking forward to picnicking on Monday! Take care! xo

Princess Welcome Tilda

Good morning everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! I can't believe how fast these weeks are flying by. I hope the summer goes nice and sloooow. ;)  Well, today at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog we have a photo inspiration for you. Here is our photo inspiration:

It's similar to an anything goes challenge. There's so much  you can do with this photo like choose a color of eyeshadow to use on  your card, or maybe we can see this as "dress up" inspiration, or even embossing (can you see the embossed flower look on the eyeshadow?)  So that's how I saw this challenge.

I used the colors purple and yellow which I see in the eye shadow colors. This beautiful Tilda also looks like she's playing dress up with her pretty clothes and crown, and I also used an embossed flower paper pattern in my card. The other papers are by Magnolia and you can find all these papers at Magnolia-licious.

That's it for today. I have alot to do before taking my daughter and her friends to see the One Direction  concert tonight. Ugh! I am not looking forward to the ear piercing screams (and that's just from my daughter) LOL! If any of you have teenage daughters, you probably know what I mean. Oh dear!  ;)   Have a great day everyone! xx

Rose Garden Tilda

Good morning! Finally the sun is out today after a couple days of rainy humid weather (icky). Hope you've all had a good week. I've been so busy around here this week but managed to make a card using this cute Magnolia from the new collection.

This is Rose Garden Tilda from the new Summer Memories 2012 collection and is available for pre-order at Magnolia-licious. Don't you love her? I colored her with copic markers. Have also used the fence Doohickey die and swirl Doohickey die on my card. My papers are by Lillybee Designs

Well, that's it for now. I have to run to morning mass today at my daughters school.  Today is May Crowning Day and Grandparent's Day at the school... busy busy busy... Is it summer yet?

Thanks for stopping by!  xo

Sweet Princess Tilda

Hello Everyone!  Today we have a color challenge for you at the Magnolia-licious challenge blog. The colors are pink, green, and yellow.  Here is the card I created for today:

Yes, I want to live in a sherbet colored castle.  Isn't that every little girls dream? Someone needs to tell me that I'm not a little girl anymore LOL!  Here is a closeup:

These lovely papers are by Bo Bunny - Vicki B. collection that I received in my Little Darlings DT packet. Isn't it gorgeous?  So these sweet Magnolias are from the 2012 Prince and Princess Collection.  This is Sweet Princess Tilda and can be found at Magnolia-licious and the Princess Castle can also currently be found at Magnolia-licious.

Well that's all for today.  I hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks for stopping by! xx

TOMIC Challenge - Animal + sketch

I love flamingos! If I could keep one for a pet, I would. But I don't live on the beach (where flamingos live apparently) and probably never will until my kids are out of college. Last year, I bought some of those wire flamingos and stuck them outside in my landscape. Hubby didn't like that much, so he took them down and made me return them. Now I am banished from decorating the outdoors. Boo! :p :p :p

So I made a card with a Magnolia flamingo. Woohoo!!  Here is the sketch we had to follow:

And my card:

Oh don't you love this guy!  So CUTE!! I was so happy to see Magnolia come out with this stamp.  Perfect for our TOMIC challenge which is to make a card with an animal on it and also to follow the above sketch.  I also used Magnolia's beach/sailboat scenery and new "have a sunny day" sentiment. My papers are by Bo Bunny - Barefoot and Bliss Collection.  Everything was colored with Copics, and they are: R24, R22, R20, E55, E53, E51, E50,  C1, C00, YR000, W1, W00, Y15, Y13, Y11, Y000, B26, B24, B21, B000.

That's it for today. Have a great day guys! xx
